Climate details
Borneo's lowland rainforest sits within the tropical monsoon climate zone. It's characteristics include a stable climate throughout the year with vast amounts of rainfall and reasonably high temperatures, with few fluctuations. This stability allows a large diversity of flora and fauna.
Rainfall: the monthly rainfall exceeds 200mm all year-round. There is never a seasonal water shortage, the weather is continuously warm and humid. Temperature: there is an average temperature of 31 degrees celsius throughout the day and it reaches no lower than 25 degrees by nightfall; all year-round. The temperature doesn't fluctuate more than 10 degrees celsius. Humidity: during the middle of the day the humidity doesn't reach more than 70%. However by night the humidity reaches its full potential at 100%. Weather patterns: the weather stays consistent throughout the year with no drastic changes between months. This provides a great environment for the flora and fauna living there. |
